Caregiver needed in Noe Valley for wonderful gentleman
We are searching for an amazing experienced caregiver in Noe Valley for wonderful gentleman. The role requires support with a wide range of daily tasks. These include grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, and occasional household errands such as picking up prescriptions and dry cleaning. The candidate will handle light housekeeping, laundry, and the daily changing of bed sheets, as well as monitoring the mail. They will assist with walking and mobility as needed and provide personal care, including dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene. The candidate will accompany the senior to events and appointments, and when mutually agreed upon, travel with him. They will also provide daily reports to family members or other designated individuals on the senior’s well-being and medical appointments, including written notes. An important part of the role will be companionship, such as engaging in games, going on walks, attending movies or events together, and being a trusted and positive presence. Candidates with medical training may also be asked to apply and change dressings and bandages, monitor blood pressure or insulin levels, administer medication and manage the pillbox, follow nutritional and dietary guidelines, and maintain a health journal. Must be able to lift 80 lbs. Must be local to SF/the Bay Area and have a minimum of 5 years full time experience working with the elderly and in a support or companion type role. Must have a valid CA driver's license, and be flexible to travel for up to a week at a time - the client has a home in Southern California they like to visit 1-3 times per year for 4-5 days at a time.
