College Educated Nanny needed in Menlo Park $150-$185,000 DOE
We are looking for a full-time, college-educated nanny to join the nicest family in Menlo Park. This is a unique role that blends childcare and family assistant responsibilities, offering variety and engagement every day. The majority of your time will be spent providing thoughtful, reliable care for a bright and exceptionally gifted 10-year-old, including driving to tutors, activities, and other enriching experiences. We are looking for someone who loves creating age-appropriate, engaging activities such as graphic design projects, nature hikes, and other hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and learning. This child thrives when intellectually stimulated, and we want to find a great role model who will keep him challenged, inspired, and excited throughout the day. The other 25% of your time, while the child is in school, will focus on supporting the family with light Personal Assistant duties. This can include managing Amazon returns, researching and booking trips, scheduling doctor appointments, making dinner reservations, and other projects that help keep the household running smoothly. The parents do not have an Assistant, so they may ask for your support from time to time - but the priority of this role will be focusing on the continued development of their child. The ideal candidate MUST have a college degree - a Master's Degree in Education would be a major bonus. Experience teaching at a top tier local prestigious Private School would also be preferred. You should be organized, proactive, and comfortable switching between childcare and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone taking a break between college and graduate school who enjoys working with children while also using their organizational and problem-solving skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. A nanny car will be provided for on-duty use, but a valid California driver’s license is required. Local Peninsula candidates only, please.
