Contract Specialized Nanny role for non verbal ASD child
This is a contract role, starting in Novemeber through June, with the possiblity of extending to a premanet role. Schedule is 7 days on, during weeks days it is a split shift of 7a-9a and then 2-8p. If you live outside of daily commuting distance, the client has a spare room you can spend time between shifts. This is an amazing opportunity for a childcare professional with a background in Occupational Therapy or Special Education to join a warm and welcoming single parent household as a full time aide to a bright, sweet six year old child on the Autism Spectrum. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to leave the classroom and bring their expertise into a private, holistic home setting. We are looking for someone who is energetic, outdoorsy, and adventurous, someone who is not afraid to get sandy on the beach, hike muddy trails, or jump into a swimming pool. Familiarity with Waldorf style education or alternative learning philosophies is a plus. The family would love to find someone who has had a good and positive long term experience working in a HNW household and who values a natural, holistic lifestyle. The ideal candidate has experience working with Autistic children, preferably in a classroom or therapeutic setting, and a passion for creating meaningful, engaging, and nurturing environments. You must be open to travel for up to one week at a time, including over the Holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas and NYE/New Years.) A college degree is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a valid California driver's license and be comfortable driving up to 90 minutes to a second residence. You must be fully vaccinated and boosted.
