Executive Housekeeper needed in Pacific Heights
A wonderful UHNW family is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to support the daily operations of the household and ensure an exceptional standard of cleanliness, organization, and care. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a beautiful, well-functioning home environment, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the utmost discretion and professionalism. This role involves comprehensive cleaning and household management duties, including sanitizing all bathrooms, showers, sinks, and countertops; polishing fine furniture and fixtures; cleaning kitchens and food preparation areas; washing interior windows and mirrors; vacuuming carpets and rugs; and maintaining all spaces to the Principal’s standards. The position also includes tidying bathrooms and bedrooms, mopping floors, dusting, changing bed linens, making beds, organizing closets, and performing deep cleaning projects while the Principal is away. Laundry and fabric care are key components of this role. The Housekeeper will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing, and properly storing garments and linens, as well as managing dry cleaning delivery and pick-up. Expertise in caring for luxury fabrics such as cashmere, silk, and leather is essential. Experience in ironing fine linens and operating professional laundry equipment is strongly preferred. Organization is another central focus, including maintaining closets, pantries, and storage areas; packing and unpacking for travel; and ensuring all personal and household items are treated with care. The Housekeeper will monitor household inventories, manage cleaning supplies, and communicate purchasing needs in a timely manner. This position requires consistency and attention to detail, ensuring all rooms reflect the Principal’s preferences at all times. The candidate should be proactive in reporting any repairs or maintenance concerns, collaborating smoothly with other staff, and completing all tasks efficiently within working hours. Additional responsibilities include grocery shopping, running errands, assisting with meal preparation and service, and providing event support when required. The Housekeeper will greet guests and vendors courteously while maintaining vigilance around household security, answering the phone and taking messages when other staff are unavailable, and ensuring all access points are secured at the end of the day. Wardrobe management responsibilities include maintaining, organizing, and rotating wardrobe items by season; caring for garments to ensure they are clean, pressed, and ready for use; identifying pieces that require repair or donation; and preparing appropriate attire for daily activities and events. The role also involves laundering table linens, unpackaging and steaming clothing samples, and ensuring all wardrobe spaces remain serene, organized, and fully functional.
