House Manager needed UES NYC $150,000 + DOE
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on House Manager to oversee the daily operations and staffing of a multi-level 15,000 sq foot townhouse on the Upper East Side. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership, and a service-first mindset to ensure the residence is maintained to the highest standards. The House Manager will be responsible for supervising and training household staff, managing staff and vendor schedules, and overseeing housekeeping operations. They will ensure the residence remains impeccably maintained and guest-ready at all times. Additional duties include coordinating household inventories and supplies, managing deliveries and vendors, planning and executing events, overseeing formal service, and working closely with the Chef, part time Personal Assistant, and housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will be based in or near New York City and bring a minimum of seven plus years of experience managing UHNW private residences. Long term references are required, this client values loyalty and has many staff members who they have employed for 10+ years. You should have a proven track record of leading domestic staff, strong knowledge of household operations and event service, and experience caring for fine furnishings, wardrobe, and art. A highly professional, discreet, and service-oriented approach is essential, along with excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and technological proficiency. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required if the family is hosting an event like a dinner party or cocktail party. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and be able to provide strong references and pass a background check.
