Professional College Educated CNA/Caregiver needed in Atherton
We are looking for an Educated, professional with a nursing background to act as a caregiver for a clients parent in Atherton. This elder gentleman has no serious medical ailments - he is in his late 80s and his family wants to make sure he has the best care possible in his Golden Years. We want to find someone who can communicate with the daughter's family about medication, health status updates, and act as a true caregiver to this kind and gentle individual. We want someone who can help the client with simple day to day mundane tasks, take to DR appointments, and make simple healthy meals as well as kindly encourage them to eat when they aren't feeling hungry. You will be a true counterpart to the family and their eyes and ears when they aren't present. There is a team of other caregivers/nurses that are on staff (our client is building an amazing team of caregiver's - you will have counterparts who will cover you on days off!) but we want to find someone who is educated and can speak about current events, books, and have normal conversations about life without making this man feel like you are only there as a "caretaker"- we want to find someone who loves working with the elderly! You should be available to work 5 days a week, hours are flexible but ideally 40-50 hours per week, approximately M-F 9a-6p. Availability to travel is a bonus (you will be generously compensated if you choose to travel!) but is not required. Ideal candidate will have some sort of nursing background, but must have a minimum of 10 years full time, recent experience as a caregiver for individual clients, or in a High End retirement community like The Vi or The Forum. We want to find someone who has worked in private homes, and has developed relationships with the the people they work for. We want someone who is positive, has a great energy that is infectious and loves to smile! We want a happy person who truly loves their job and going to work everyday!
